Driving Quebec’s Clean Energy Future: Highlights from Our Executive Showcase

Accelerating Clean Mobility in Quebec

Accelerating commercial fleet electrification and public charging deployment requires seamless synergy between reliable hardware, intelligent backend software, and industry-wide collaboration.

Recently, Chargnex hosted an exclusive executive showcase at our facility, bringing together key decision-makers across the energy, engineering, retail, and transportation sectors. We were honored to host leadership and technical teams from Hydro-Québec, Teal, CIMA+, Targray, Metro, and Filgo.

The event served as an interactive demonstration of how Chargnex bridges the gap between electrical infrastructure, payment processing, and cloud orchestration.

1. High-Power Hardware in Action: AC Prime & 240 kW DC Charging

At the center of the showcase was our hardware ecosystem, engineered to deliver exceptional uptime across commercial premises and extreme environmental conditions.

  • Chargnex Prime AC Charger: Designed for workplace, commercial, and multi-residential site hosts requiring high-performance AC charging. Features a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen, robust IP65-rated weatherproofing, and smooth UI integration.
  • Teal Optimum Series 240 kW DC Fast Charger: Engineered for commercial fleets, transit, and highway corridors. Built with modular power architecture and certified for extreme Canadian weather.

2. Integrated Payment Solutions

Chargnex delivers a complete, end-to-end infrastructure, eliminating the fragmentation that so often slows down EV adoption.

Nowhere is that seamless integration more vital than at the point of charge, where traditional app-dependent networks continue to create friction for commercial fleets and retail drivers alike.

To solve this, we showcased our embedded open-loop payment ecosystem, designed directly into the charging hardware architecture. Rather than forcing drivers to download separate apps or manage multiple accounts, our stations allow users to tap any contactless credit card, debit card, or mobile wallet for immediate session authorization, delivering a familiar, hassle-free experience.

3. CSMS Core Demo

Hardware reliability is only half the equation; intelligent backend management is what keeps EV networks profitable and scalable.

Our director, Aagam Jain, led a live walkthrough of CSMS Core, Chargnex’s cloud-native Charge Point Management System, built on OCPP standards.

Key Pillars of CSMS:

Aagam Jain CSMS Core live walkthrough
  • Complete Network Visibility: Delivers real-time station status monitoring, continuous heartbeat tracking, and instant fault notifications so site hosts always know their network health.
  • Granular Financial & Commercial Controls: Gives site hosts total transparency over revenue settlements, contracts, dynamic time-of-use pricing, and automated post-session idle fees.
  • End-to-End Network Intelligence & Revenue Control: Core admin has access to centralized advertisement management to push targeted media to station displays, along with robust sustainability metrics and EV driver management.
  • Pricing Controls: A highly configurable fare engine to set custom pricing tiers, dynamic time-of-use rates, and idle fees.

Building an Integrated Ecosystem

Hosting teams from Hydro-Québec, Teal, CIMA+, Targray, Metro, and Filgo under one roof highlighted a vital truth: scaling clean transportation requires complete ecosystem alignment.

From utility power allocation and engineering to site host retail operations and software management, every layer must connect seamlessly. Chargnex remains committed to building the reliable hardware and software foundation that drives this transition forward.
